This tour starts in Kampala and takes you through tea plantations, sugarcanes and local roadside markets. Experience the rapids of rivers, the beauty of forests, the sound of waters of the falls, right at the source of the Nile and the Sezibwa Falls. Sezibwa Falls will be the first point to stop over to behold the uniqueness of this unstoppable water flow of sorts; Sezibwa derives its name from the phrase, “sizibwa kkubo” in the Luganda language which is translated as “my way cannot be blocked or hindered” in English. From Sezibwa, proceed to Mabira Forest to spot some of the birds, mammals and reptiles among other species. After this, you will visit the source of the Nile to finalize the 1 day Jinja tour.

DAY 1: Jinja With Sezibwa Falls

07:00 am Briefing by the guide and departure to Jinja (1-hour drive) with a stop at Sezibwa Falls Cultural Heritage Site to see the beautiful waterfalls and learn about preserved African traditional cultures. Spend at least 1 hour at the falls. 9:30 am Leave for the Mabira rainforest for a trek that brings you close to nature and wildlife such as monkeys and birds with a ziplining activity. 11:00 am Continue to Jinja in time for lunch with an afternoon boat cruise on the mighty River Nile with snacks. 02:00 pm Go for a 1hour quad biking and optional horseback riding through the villages along the Nile. NOTE: It can also be extended to white-water rafting, Kayaking and Sunset cruises along the river Nile to experience Uganda's most authentic and unique activities on the mighty Nile during your Jinja safari. 05:00 pm Depart back to Kampala after a long day of activity at Jinja. Drop off to your hotel.
