Day 1: Arrival day. Arrival at Ben Gurion airport.

You will be met by a VERED representative, assisted through customs. Check into hotel in Tel Aviv for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Caesarea, Muhraka, Mt. Tabor, Nazareth, Tiberius.

After breakfast view the metropolitan city of Tel Aviv and visit Jaffa on along the coastal road to Caesarea an ancient Mediterranean city containing many ruins most of which date from crusader period. Prominent among these are the hippodrome, the crusader city and the roman amphitheater. Continue to Muhraka with a breathtaking view of the north of Israel. Here Elijah confronted and defeated the priests of Baal. Continue to Nazareth and Arab city in the galilee with many churches and monasteries, where Jesus grew to manhood. Mass at basilica of the annunciation in Nazareth. Continue to Cana the site of the first miracle. Proceed to mt. tabor. Ascend to the summit by taxi. Check into hotel in Tiberius for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Mt. of Beatitudes, Banias, Capernaum, Boat Ride, Jordan River (Yardenit).

After breakfast drive to Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. Celebrate mass. On to Banias one of the main sources of the Jordan River. Philip son of Herod established here in the city by the name of Caesarea Philippi. Take a Boat Ride on the Sea of Galilee. Visit Capernaum on the northwest shore of the Sea of Galilee where Jesus began his preaching career. Drive to Yardenit where the Jordan River flows into the Sea of Galilee, traditional baptism site. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Agriculture- Farm, Qumran, Dead Sea, Jerusalem.

After breakfast drive to visit farm in Jordan valley region. Continue to Qumran, remains of a settlement on the northwest shore of the Dead Sea and the site of Qumran caves where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered by desert Bedouins. Travel to the Dead Sea called “Sea of Salt” and is the lowest spot on the surface of the globe. Here you can experience floating and swimming in these waters which have amazing healing powers. Drive to Jerusalem and check into hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: New city of Jerusalem and Bethlehem.

Drive up Mt. of Olives, a mountain to the east of old city. Christian tradition maintains that many events related to the life of Jesus took place on the mountain. Drive to Bethlehem the site of the tomb of Rachel and the birthplace of Jesus. The town is dominated by the church of the nativity, built on the grotto where Jesus is believed to have been born. It has many other sites of great historical and religious interest. Mass at the church of nativity in Bethlehem. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Old city of Jerusalem.

Enter old city and walk along the Via Dolorosa also called the way of the cross. There are 14 stations along the route each commemorating an event along Jesus’ route to crucifixion. Visit the church of the holy sepulcher – walk through colorful bazaars. View the Temple mount in the southeast corner of the old city. Visit the western wall part of the western retaining wall of the temple mount. Continue to the cardo the main street of the ancient Jewish quarter of the old city which has recently been fully excavated and restored and shops and galleries have opened along the street. Visit mt. Zion and the hall of the last supper and King David’s tomb. Mass at the cenacle. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Departure.

You will be transferred to Ben Gurion airport and a VERED representative will help you through your formalities. Departure flight.
